Brilliant Restaurant Closure and New Venture
The renowned Brilliant Restaurant in Southall, celebrated for its Punjabi-Kenyan cuisine and patronized by figures like King Charles, is set to close on April 7, 2025, after 50 years of operation. A farewell dinner featuring its classic dishes is scheduled for April 4. Chef Dipna Anand plans to launch a new establishment, Brilliant Gastro, in Southall’s Green Quarter later in April, offering fusion dishes that blend Punjabi roots with Western classics.

On April 6, 2025, Southall will host the Vaisakhi procession, also known as Nagar Kirtan, celebrating the birth of the Khalsa and the harvest festival. The event will include a vibrant parade through the streets, featuring music, prayers, and community festivities.
